Ana Carolina de Castro Issy Pereira

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Dentistry from the University of Ribeirão Preto-UNAERP (2000), a master’s degree (2005) and a doctorate in Pharmacology from the University of São Paulo (2010). Ana Paula Crestani

She is a Bachelor of Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2012). She holds a Master and PhD degree in Biological Sciences-Neurosciences from this same university (2014 and 2018, respectively). She completed part of her PhD (2016-2017) at the University of California, Davis (USA). She has worked with topics related to the processes of formation, reconsolidation, and extinction of aversive memories. In 2018, she completed a postdoctoral internship at the Karolinska Institute (Sweden). Currently, she is a postdoctoral fellow and collaborating professor at the FMRP-USP. She investigates the mechanisms of homeostatic synaptic plasticity (through electrophysiological, molecular, and morphological techniques) involved in situations of uncontrolled neuronal activity in animal models of epilepsy (Lattes Curriculum: 07/07/2021).
Carlos Renato Tirapelli

He holds a degree from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto/USP (1998), a master’s degree (2001), and a doctorate (2005) in Pharmacology from the FMRP/USP. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute of Pharmacology, Medical School, University of Sherbrooke, QC, Canada (2005-2006). Currently, he is an Associate Professor 1 of the School of Nursing of Ribeirão Preto-USP. He is an advisor in the graduate programs in Pharmacology at the FMRP-USP and in Psychiatric Nursing at the School of Nursing of Ribeirão Preto/USP. He has experience in Cardiovascular Pharmacology working mainly in the following research areas: Pharmacology/Toxicology of ethanol, cellular/molecular mechanisms involved in vascular dysfunction, and oxidative stress. Eduardo Henrique de Lima Umeoka

Currently, he is a Professor at the School of Santa Rita De Cássia, Itumbiara-GO and the Medical School of Unicerrado in Goiatuba-GO. Jorge Eduardo Moreira

He is a Senior Professor at the FMRP-USP. Postdoctoral fellow and “Staff Scientist” at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD (NIH 1985-1997). He holds a PhD in Medicine (Morphology and Cell Biology) from the University of São Paulo, FMRP (1982). Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from UNNE, Argentina (1966). He has experience in cell neurobiology, synapses of the central nervous system of vertebrates and cephalopods, and cell secretion (glandular tissues). Methodology in various aspects of light microscopy, fluorescence, confocal, laser microdissection, ultrastructure and molecular methods. (Lattes Curriculum: 07/07/2021).
José Aparecido da Silva

He holds a Master and Doctorate Degree in Psychology from the Institute of Psychology of USP and a Postdoc in Perception and Psychophysics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, USA. He is a retired Professor of the Department of Psychology of the FFCLRP-USP. With several papers published in national and international indexed journals, often cited in the international literature, he is one of the researchers in Psychology in Brazil most often referenced by his peers in journals, books, and book chapters. He is a Member of the American Psychological Association, the International Society for Psychophysics, a member of the Academy of Sciences of Ribeirão Preto, and the only researcher in Psychology in Brazil member of the Psychonomic Society. He was a Visiting Professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara (USA), University of Hokkaido (Japan), University of Padua (Italy), University of Paris, XI – Orsay (France), and University of Coimbra (Portugal). At the University of Coimbra, he is the Co-coordinator of the Master’s degree in Experimental Psychology and, at the National University of Tucumán (Argentina), he is the co-coordinator of the Associate Graduate Center supported by CAPES (Brazil) and SPU (Argentina). He is a retired Professor of the Department of Neurosciences and Behavioral Sciences of FMRP-USP. He received the “Sérgio Henrique Ferreira” award from the Brazilian Society for the Study of Pain, in recognition of the relevant services provided in the area. He founded the Outpatient Clinics of Headache, Craniofacial Pain and Neuropathic Pain of the HCRP. He is a Board member of SBCe.
José Luiz Liberato

He is a Postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Neurosciences and Behavioral Sciences of the FMRP-USP. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences (2004) from the FFCLRP-USP, a Master (2008) and PhD (2013) in Psychobiology from FMRP-USP. He works in the area of Neurosciences, mainly in the subareas of Neurochemistry, Neuropsychopharmacology, and Animal Behavior. Currently, he studies the role of the GABAergic substrate in the neuroanatomic and electrophysiological dynamics of the Hippocampal-Prefrontal Cortex Circuit during the progression of Epileptogenesis. Lucas Albrechet de Souza

Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from USP (Bachelor’s degree-2004 and Teaching Certification-2006); Master’s degree (2006) and doctorate (2010) in Psychobiology from USP (2010); postdoctoral degree from USP (2010-2012), Tufts University (2013-2015) in Boston (USA), and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center (January to October 2018) in New Orleans (USA). He worked as a researcher (level A, Science Without Borders) at the Institute of Psychology of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul/Hospital de Clinicas de Porto Alegre (2015-2018). He is currently an Instructor-Research in the Department of Physiology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. He has more than 15 years of experience in Psychobiology, in the fields of Neuropharmacology, Neurophysiology, and Animal Behavior, with an emphasis on the investigation of the biological bases of mental disorders and the mechanisms of neurobiological linked to stress and drugs of abuse (cocaine and alcohol) in animal models. He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Physiology (SBFis), the National Association of Research and Graduate Studies in Psychology (ANPEPP), the Society for Neuroscience (SfN), the International Behavioral Neuroscience Society (IBNS), the board of directors for the Institute for Neuroscience and Behavior (INeC), among others. She was a Postdoctoral fellow at the University of Strathclayde in Glasgow, Scotland for one year (2010-2011); participated in the program “Mission in France, INSERM/FAPESP”, at the Pierre et Marie Curie University in Paris, France. Currently, she has been a postdoc fellow at the University of São Paulo (USP), Ribeirão Preto campus. She has training in Pharmacology, with emphasis on Neuropsychopharmacology, experience in the evaluation of animal behavior, ability to perform stereotactic surgery and histological and immunohistochemistry techniques. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Pharmacology of FMRP-USP. Internship at the Department of Experimental Medicine, Division of Pharmacology, University of Campania L. Vanvitelli, Naples-Italy (2015/2016). She works in the area of Neurosciences with emphasis on studies that address the sensory, emotional, and cognitive aspects of chronic pain and its psychiatric and neurological comorbidities. She is a member of the Committee of Basic Research and Integrative and Complementary Practices of SBED (Brazilian Society for the Study of Pain). Mother of Leonardo, who was born in 2014. Rafael Guimarães dos Santos

He currently holds a postdoctoral degree in Mental Health at FMRP-USP, where he also acts as an accredited advisor. He is a researcher at the National Institute of Science and Technology: Translational Medicine (INCT/CNPq). He has experience in Pharmacology, with emphasis on psychopharmacology, acting mainly on the following topics: psychoactive drugs, hallucinogens, cannabinoids, serotonin, glutamate, depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, substance-related disorders, mental health. He works as an epileptologist and electroencephalographer at the Center for Epilepsy Surgery (CIREP) and is responsible for the Therapeutic Monitoring Laboratory of HCFMRP-USP. He is interested in care and research with a focus on the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of epilepsies, including video-electroencephalography, epilepsy surgery, and clinical studies of new antiepileptic drugs.
